Matt Ziminsky hurls gem, butZephyrs‘s bats go quiet in 2-1 loss to Nazareth (PA) Zephyrs failed to provide enough offense to beat Nazareth on Monday, despite Matt Ziminsky‘s stellar seven-inning performance, and Zephyrs took the loss, 2-1. Noah Mcmullen recorded the win for Nazareth . He allowed one run over seven innings. Mcmullen struck out two, walked four and gave up five hits. Matt Ziminsky was the game’s losing pitcher. Nazareth stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fourth, scoring two runs on an RBI double by Matt Horvath and an error. Zephyrs outslugs Salisbury Township (Allentown, PA) in 8-4 defeat Zephyrs won the hit battle 8-6 on Saturday, but couldn’t push enough runs across to get the win, instead losing 8-4 in seven innings to Salisbury Township . Matt Dobeck was hot from the plate for Zephyrs. Matt Dobeck went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings. A Sukanik got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He tossed four innings of shutout ball. A Sukanik struck out two, walked two and gave up four hits. Zach Gilbert took the loss for Zephyrs. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked five and struck out five. The top of the first saw Zephyrs take an early lead, 2-0. The Zephyrs attack began with a double from Gianni Sinatore.
